Hi, I’m Liz and I am excited you are here!
The idea of Charlie started when I had a clothing brand and I wanted to market brands for children and parents, the thought of having a mascot for the brand would appeal both to the children and parents. Monkey was the first thing that came to mind as a way to launch the label and kids love monkeys!
I got Charlie made in up in 1997!
I absolutely love Charlie! I watched him interact with Children and saw the massive smiles on their faces. He’s an important part of my life.
Charlie has appeared at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. Hard Rock Cafe in Melbourne, Teddy Bears Picnic in Frankston, and many schools. Cheeky Charlie taught children about different social challenges that kids come across like peer group pressure, bullying, and cultural challenges.
Charlie had been packed away for so long, I had a vision of bringing him back to life. I thought the way I can do that is to write a book and allow children to enjoy Charlie the way I do. He always brings a smile to your face.
I want people to feel about the book or his adventures how I do and it just gives me so much pleasure and happiness. I love to see what Charlie is up to.
